Executive Summary

Community empowerment in Africa

Kagoentle NPO is a Non- Profit Organisation dedicated to uplifting African and Coloured communities in South Africa by countering divisive ideologies, such as those promoted by Afriforum, through tangible empowerment initiatives.

Our core focus is on addressing systematic inequalities in labour rights, healthcare, education, security and economic development.

To sustain these efforts, Kagoentle NPO will implement an innovative peer-to-peer [P2P] funding programme that laverages community-driven donations, micro- contributions and blockchain- enabled transparency to ensure funds are directly allocated to high- impact projects.

This portfolio outlines the NPO's structure, objectives and the P2P funding mechanism, demonstrating how it will support five key departments: Legal assistance, Medical Aid, Vocational Education, Community Security and Township Industrialisation. By fostering a grassroots funding model, Kagoentle aims to build self- reliance, promote unity and create lasting socio- economic change. Projected launch Q2 2026, with initial funding targets of R5 million in the 1st year through P2P campaigns.

Mission & Vision

Mission

To empower marginalised African and coloured communities by providing essential services, education, and economic opportunities, while actively challenging discriminatory narratives and fostering inclusive development.

Vision

A South Africa where African and coloured individuals thrive without barriers, supported by a united community network that drives equity and justice. Kagoentle NPO will register as an NPO under South Africa's Non-Profit Organisations Act (Act 71 of 1997) and seek Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status for tax-deductible donations under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act. This ensures compliance, transparency, and eligibility for grants from bodies like the National Lotteries Commission or international funders.

Peer to Peer Funding

The P2P funding program is the financial backbone of Kagoentle NPO, designed to democratise philanthropy by connecting donors directly with beneficiaries. Unlike traditional fundraising, this model uses digital platforms to enable small, recurring contributions from individuals worldwide, particularly the African diaspora and allies. Key features include:→

Utilise user-friendly apps like GoFundMe, Patreon, or a custom blockchain-based system (e.g., via Ethereum or local platforms like Luno) for transparent, low-fee transactions. Donors can track fund usage in real-time via dashboards showing allocations to specific programs. Micro-donors (R10–R100/month): Access to community updates and virtual events. Mid-tier (R101–R500): Naming rights for small projects or certificates of impact. High-tier (R501+): Invitations to annual galas or personalised impact reports. Direct P2P (80% of funds). Corporate matching (e.g., partnerships with progressive businesses). Crowdfunding campaigns tied to milestones (e.g., "Fund 100 Legal Cases"). Merchandise sales (e.g., branded apparel with proceeds reinvested). All funds will be audited annually by independent firms. Blockchain smart contracts ensure automatic disbursement only upon verified milestones (e.g., legal case resolutions). Quarterly reports will be shared publicly on our website and social media ( @KagoentleNPO on X). 60% to program delivery, 20% to operations, 10% to marketing, 10% to reserves. Initial seed funding could come from personal contributions or small grants, scaling via P2P to R10 million by Year 3. This model counters Afriforum's influence by building community-owned solutions, reducing dependency on state or elitist structures.
